Caretech is one of the UK's leading providers of residential care and support for people with learning disabilities.
From investment in 2002 to exit in 2005, Caretech expanded from 254 to 435 beds and currently operates 61 care homes and two day care centres.
THE EXIT
In August 2004, Caretech concluded a £28m sale and leaseback, which allowed for full repayment of Equistone’s original investment and a partial share divestment. A year later, Caretech acquired all of Equistone's shareholding, generating a full exit for Equistone and an IRR of 34.8% in just less than three years.
