Novares
Novares, formerly Mecaplast, is a global supplier of plastic components for the automotive industry.
Founded by Charles Manni in 1955 as Mecaplast, Novares designs, develops and manufactures passenger vehicle interiors, exteriors and engine parts, such as air intake components, bezels for control panels and roof/interior trims. In 2016 Mecaplast acquired its US competitor Key Plastics and merged into Novares, creating a leader in automotive plastics globally.
With a well-established global presence, Novares employs a 10,000-strong workforce, has operations in 21 countries and 42 production facilities across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Customers include many of the leading car manufacturers, such as Ford, Toyota, GM, Renault-Nissan, PSA, VW and BMW. Novares continues to maintain its market-leading position by investing significantly in research and development at its twelve technical centres.
Novares has demonstrated strong ESG initiatives by adhering to the United Nations Global Compact. Its production process uses recycled materials derived from automotive waste, it also complies with the European directive on end-of-life vehicles and its products contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
